About Me

I’m what they call a “young professional” –  I graduated Magna Cum Laude in June ’08 from the University of Oregon School of Journalism and Communication and the R.D. Clark Honors College with degrees in Advertising and Public Relations, with a minor in Business Administration. I’ve since begun a fantastic job in Portland for a nonprofit musical theater company where I get to do lots of fun things with cool people.

If you followed my blog before, it was a student blog that I more or less deserted come graduation (against my best intentions). But, I’ve now officially started a professional career in development and event coordination, so I am jumping back in the saddle.

I am a Portland, Oregon native and I ADORE this city. If you’ve never been here, please stay away because I don’t want to share! No really, you should see it. The waterfront is gorgeous. I love music, adventures, good food, and spending time with close friends. I value honesty, quirkiness, empathy, intelligence, humor, sincerity, and compassion.

“To laugh often and much, to win the respect of intelligent people and the affection of children, to earn the appreciation of honest critics and endure the betrayal of false friends, to appreciate beauty, to find the best in others, to leave the world a bit better, whether by a healthy child, a garden patch…to know even one life has breatherd easier because you have lived. This is to have succeeded!” – Emerson

I couldn’t have said it better myself. Cheers to this definition of success; may I never lose sight of it.

My best friend from college comes from Eugene (and lives there still, I think). I enjoyed my visit there a few years ago. It’s a lovely town. Good luck with your career!
